Introduction

The Oman Vision 2040 Implementation Follow-up Unit prioritizes open data, recognizing it as a strategic priority for modern and advanced economies. Open data empowers researchers and entrepreneurs to foster innovation, access markets, and identify and capitalize on opportunities. It also supports data-driven decision-making and enhances transparency between the public and private sectors. This approach reflects the Sultanate of Oman’s commitment to digital transformation and supports national strategies such as Oman Vision 2040. The Unit works to make data available in accordance with the Government’s Open Data Policy issued in June 2020.
